Honor Moore's recent memoir, The Bishop's Daughter, was a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award. Published in May 2008, The Bishop's Daughter was name a Favorite Nonfiction Book of 2008 by the Los Angeles Times, an Editor's Choice by New York Times and was selected by National Book Critics Circle as part of their "Good Reads" recommended reading list. In May 2009, W. W. Norton simultaneously released paperback editions of both The Bishop's Daughter and The White Blackbird, A Life of the Painter Margarett Sargent by Her Granddaughter. Poems from the Women's Movement, an anthology edited by Honor Moore was published by Library of America in April and can be purchased here. The book is one of O, The Oprah Magazine's "25 Books You Can't Put Down" for summer 2009. The introduction was excerpted in the March/April 2009 issue of The Boston Review and featured on Slate's new website for women, "Double X." Poems from the Women's movement was named a Booklist Editors' Choice for 2009.
Honor's piece about traveling to Sicily "Inheriting Sicily" with photographs by Harf Zimmerman appeared in the October issue of MORE. During the spring semester Honor will be teaching nonfiction at the University of Iowa and will be available for speaking and reading engagements in the Midwest.
